This workshop is an invitation to step into your boldest, most commanding self. Whether you're new to burlesque or ready to dial it all the way up, you'll be guided through a fierce, high-impact routine designed for beginner to intermediate levels — fast, fiery, and full of attitude.

Not only is burlesque a celebration of body positivity and self-expression, but it’s also a fantastic way to meet new friends and invite feel good energy collectivly. These workshops are a welcoming space for all ages, genders, shapes, sizes and backgrounds— everyone is invited to step into their power.
What You Need:
Comfortable Dance Clothes: Choose breathable and flexible clothing that allows for easy movement.
Comfortable Heels: Opt for heels that provide support and stability, ensuring you can dance with confidence. Bare feet or socks if you prefer to opt out of heels.
Water: Stay hydrated, especially in the sizzling heat, to keep your energy levels up.
Snack: If your'e partaking both summer school workshops remember a snack for in between.

Need to Know
PARKING
Free Evening and Weekend Parking is available in the complex. Monday – Friday 7am-5.30pm – We have a limited number of permit passes. Please check beforehand if these will be available for use. Free On Street Parking is available for 4hrs on Mabgate and Cherry Row and there is also reasonably priced on street parking on Macaulay Street and Mabgate, operated via an app called ‘Ring Go’ (no cash payments). Disabled Parking/Access
Please let us know in advance if you require disabled parking so we can reserve a space in the complex.
Mill 6 (Main Office, Studio 1 & 2) is only accessible via stairs – please call us if you need assistance.
Mill 3 (Studio 3) is located on the ground floor – please inform us if you require a wheelchair ramp.
Cycling to the Studios
Mabgate Mills has a secure bike store where you can lock your bike during your time at the studio. If you would like to use the bike store, please ask at reception upon your arrival and we’ll assist you from there.
Walking to the Studios
Please be aware that access to Mabgate Mills is via the entrance on Macaulay Street. When leaving the complex please exit through the same gate and not on foot via the automatic gates opening onto Mabgate. If you find the gate is locked exiting via the Macaulay entrance in the evening, please press the button on the right hand side of the pedestrian gate to release the door.

BUSES
To DSL: Route 42 – Direction ‘Fearnville’ Stop Number 450 10293 (This bus stop is located across the road from the Mill complex on Lincoln Green Road).
To City Centre: Route 42 – Direction ‘Old Farnley’ Stop Number 450 10292 (This is located a few mins walk along Lincoln Green Road).
TRAINS
If you are travelling into Leeds by train we are located a 20-25 minute walk from the station.
I will be waiting in the studio ten minutes prior to class to welcome everybody in, there is a waiting area in the venue if you arrive earlier.
