From stage to studio, Daisy DeVell is the proud owner and creative force behind DD’s Burlesque School - a travelling school and vibrant celebration of burlesque and the empowering art of self-expression.

For Daisy, burlesque is more than performance; it’s an art form rooted in storytelling, sensuality, and confidence—a joyful rebellion that invites everyone to embrace their individuality and inner sparkle, wherever the stage may be.

 

A celebrated performer and teacher, Daisy brings her extensive experience to every workshop, blending artistry, empowerment, and holistic playfulness in each class. Travelling across the UK and internationally, she shares her deep passion for performance and her commitment to keeping the spirit of burlesque alive and evolving.

Daisy had the honour of inheriting Liverpool’s resident burlesque classes from none other than legendary powerhouse Millie Dollar— The Dollar Bills Burlesque Classes has been a sparkling home for many students of Liverpool for over a decade, serving as a foundation for creativity, community, and personal empowerment within the art of burlesque.

 

After a few years of teaching, Daisy DeVell led her Student Showcases, offering students the opportunity to debut their work on stage in a professional and supportive setting. These events not only celebrated individual progress and creativity but also helped many students take their first steps toward performing in the burlesque industry—some even continuing into professional careers. 

 

Now, Daisy has taken her workshops beyond Liverpool to touring across different cities in the UK . Her workshop tours offer the chance to learn core burlesque technique, stage presence, and character development in a supportive, empowering environment. Each day includes three themed workshops, with every session focusing on a different theme, routine and style—covering a range of techniques from classic bump and grind to expressive sensuality,  character work, and stage confidence. 

 

Whether students choose to stay for three workshops for a day intensive or a single workshop, attendees are welcomed with open arms into the inclusive environment.

 

Workshops are open to all levels, welcoming both newcomers and returning students, creating a consistent space for artistic growth and self-celebration.

 

 Not only is burlesque a celebration of body positivity and self-expression, but it’s also a fantastic way to meet new friends and invite feel good energy collectively. These workshops are a welcoming space for all ages, genders, shapes, sizes and backgrounds— everyone is invited to step into their power.
